Supplied as standard is the environmentally friendly KNB-63L Li-ion battery (1,130 mAh typ.), with the higher capacity KNB-65L Li-ion battery (1,520 mAh typ) as an optional accessory.

The TH-K20 series can provide 5.5 watts (TH-K40: 5 watts), 2 watts and 1 watt selectable RF outputs.
Priority Scan and various Scan function
By specifying a priority channel for scanning, you can be ready to receive on either of two different frequencies.
Scan Function: Band Scan, Program Scan, MR Scan, CALL Scan, CTCSS Scan and DCS Scan.

Built-in CTCSS and DCS encoder-decoder
The CTCSS and DCS encoder-decoder enables operation of the 42 CTCSS sub tone frequencies and 104 DCS sub tone frequencies.
